X is all about grinding out stat maxing items and capturing monsters, very very fun end game grind with a super satisfying payoff. The end game grind is, imo, the best part of this game. And I believe the story is one of the best in the franchise. XII is all about farming for loot drops and treasure chests to get the best equipment.
